Daisy Donkey is one of Stardust Sanctuary’s sweetest residents! With her gentle eyes and curious nature, Daisy loves greeting visitors at the gate and soaking up attention. She’s a calm and steady presence in the herd—and she never says no to a good ear scratch or a crunchy carrot!
My Story
Hi, I’m Daisy
Gentle Soul, Curious Heart
I’m a standard-sized donkey with roots in the wild—born free on the open range in Nevada. When I was just 10 months old, I was adopted through the BLM and began my journey into human care. I came to the sanctuary in November to build new friendships with Jackie the donkey and the pony herd, and I’ve been growing ever since.
Even though I come from the wild, my heart is wide open. I’m naturally curious and deeply affectionate. In my very first week here, a group of Girl Scouts came to visit, and I welcomed each one as they came over to say hello. I’m drawn to people and love the gentle rhythm of being surrounded by kind company.
Whether I’m soaking up scratches from visitors or relaxing with my herd in the pasture, I find joy in connection. I may have the wisdom of an old soul, but I’m always open to new friendships.
