Field Trips at
Stardust Sanctuary

Where learning meets connection.

Bring your class, pod, troop, or homeschool group to Stardust Sanctuary for a hands-on field trip centered on animal connection, real-world learning, and wonder. Students meet our animal ambassadors up close while exploring science, empathy, stewardship, and life on a working sanctuary.

Perfect for: schools, homeschools, scouts, clubs, special interest groups, and enrichment programs.

Learning Pathways

Stardust Sanctuary field trips can be booked through a few different learning pathways, so your visit matches your classroom goals and student interests. Choose an NGSS-aligned experience focused on hands-on science practices and real-world observation, an Art & Philosophy pathway centered on creative expression, reflection, and big questions inspired by our animal ambassadors, or a Career Pathways option that explores the behind-the-scenes work of a sanctuary through practical skills, problem-solving, and real-world roles. Looking for something different? We’re happy to create custom pathways and specialty themes based on your group’s needs.

NGSS Standards Aligned Trip

Stardust Sanctuary offers NGSS-aligned, hands-on field trips that bring science to life through real animal care, observation, and inquiry in an unforgettable barnyard setting. Students practice the work of scientists and engineers—asking questions, gathering evidence, designing solutions, and communicating ideas—while connecting with our animal ambassadors in meaningful, age-appropriate ways.

Art & Philosophy Trip

Not every field trip has to be science-forward. Stardust Sanctuary also offers art- and philosophy-leaning field trips designed to slow students down, spark curiosity, and invite big questions through meaningful time with our animal ambassadors. These visits blend observation, creative expression, storytelling, and thoughtful discussion—perfect for classrooms exploring SEL, humanities, or interdisciplinary learning.

Career Pathways & Real World Skills Trip

These trips are built around doing real work with real purpose—students rotate through stations that mirror actual roles and responsibilities at a sanctuary (and the careers that support it). It’s practical, empowering, and super memorable for kids who learn best by moving and making.
